Lawson started his racing career at 4 1/2 years old in quarter midgets. Lawson is now 11 years old and in his third season of Bandolero racing for John Pickle-Mellow Mushroom and Ingold Motorsports. He is from Social Circle , Georgia where he is an honor student. Lawson also plays tackle football and made the Walton County All Star team 2011.He also enjoys ATV riding and basketball. His favorite drivers are Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Johnson. Lawson drives the #01 MELLOW MUSHROOM BANDOLERO for Ingold Motorsports LLC and John Pickle car owner from Columbus, Georgia

2012 Lawson starts driving Bandoleros for John Pickle Motorsports and 3PD. Lawson had a great year in Bandoleros as a Rookie! He finished 2nd in the Championship at Watermelon Capital Speedway.Lawson ranked 6th in Georgia for INEX points. Finishes 9th at Bandolero Nationals.
2011 Lawson finishes second at North Georgia QMA. Lawson had 3 wins, 11 Second place finishes, 5 3rd place finishes out of 29 starts. Lawson also won the Regional 3 race in Huntsville, Alabama October 15, 2011. he blistered the field leading all but one lap with a 12 car field!
2010 Lawson finished second in the season in Jr Honda at MAQMA. He achieved his first Jr Honda win in 2010. He was one of the youngest in his field and raced against some of the best at his local track in the country. The 1st place finisher was the USAC National Champion. Finishing second to him was a huge accomplishment.
2009 Lawson finished his season at Lanier with a respectable 6th in points. He competed in his first point season this year in Jr Honda. He struggled at the beginning of the year, being beaten around by boys that were two years older than him with much more experience. In 2008 as a Jr Novice he won two races. In his first year of Novice he won two races. He was the youngest in his class in Jr. Honda 5-8 year olds.He switched over to a new Stanley quarter midget powered by Dirks in July which is a much better car. His new car was a Grands Champion driven by Kyle Resco. Lawson uses G-Force Racing Equipment and a HANS Device for safety . His Stanley also uses Tanner Platinum 4 shocks and springs. This new car was very fast and competitive right from the start. He was able to have some great finishes on lead laps. In July he raced in a 100 lap fun race at Cummings. It was 90 degrees out and there were 6 cars in Jr. honda. He finished in 3rd against 7-8 year olds. We were hoping to move up, but due to weather, we had three race rained out. We are excited about 2010 and the moving over to USAC sanctioning at Lanier.
